Congratulations to Kyrie Johnson, a º£½ÇÂÒÂ× nursing student and EMT with Raymond Ambulance, who was crowned Miss Portsmouth 2027 on July 25 at the Rochester Performing Arts Center!

In addition to earning the title, Kyrie was awarded $2,000 in scholarships to support her education. She will now represent Portsmouth and the Seacoast region at the Miss New Hampshire Competition, April 28 through May 1, 2027, at Pinkerton Academy's Stockbridge Theatre in Derry.

As Miss Portsmouth, Kyrie will promote her community service initiative, Healthy Plates, Brighter Futures: Preventing Illness Through Nutrition, which focuses on increasing access to nutritious foods and educating individuals and families about the role nutrition plays in preventing chronic illness.

We are so proud to have Kyrie representing our community on and off the stage. Go get 'em, Kyrie!

Meet Corina Panciuc, a º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Business Administration graduate who is spending her summer as an intern in the title department at Service Credit Union before heading to the University of New Hampshire this fall to pursue a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Corina enrolled at Great Bay in fall 2024, working closely with the admissions team to navigate the enrollment process. She committed fully to finishing her degree quickly, even taking summer classes to stay on track.

Along the way, Business Administration Department Chair and Associate Professor Lynda Bonneau made a lasting impression. "Professor Bonneau made the experience in accounting so interesting and so much fun. That is why I chose accounting as my major at UNH. Great Bay was an absolutely amazing experience."

From Great Bay to an internship to UNH. That is exactly the kind of path we love to see.
